Built from an idea.

Powerlace began with a simple ambition: to make footwear easier to put on and more intuitive to wear. What started as an idea evolved through years of prototyping, testing and mechanical innovation.

WHERE IT BEGAN

From concept to patent.

Powerlace was founded by Frédérick Labbé with the ambition of creating a self-lacing shoe activated naturally by body weight.

Years of development, prototyping and testing transformed that idea into a patented mechanical system. In 2015, Powerlace received its international patent.
