Refund And Returns

Thank you for shopping at Powerlace. 

If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with a purchase, we invite you to review our policy on refunds and returns. The following terms are applicable for any products that you purchased with us. 

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation 

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural. 

 

Definitions 

For the purposes of this Return and Refund Policy: 

  • Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to Powerlace Technologies Inc.
  • Goods refer to the items offered for sale on the Service.
  • Orders mean a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.
  • Service refers to the Website.
  • Website refers to Powerlace, accessible from www.powerlace.com

You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Your Order Rights

ARTICLE 1 - Specific conditions for all Orders from the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign

The following provisions apply to all Orders from the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign:

1.1 Order cancellation

No order cancellation is possible.

1.2 Return and refund

No return or refund is possible.

1.3 Exchange

We invite You to read the articles regarding the responsibilities of Creators, Contributors and Kickstarter during a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign.

ARTICLE 2 - Specific conditions for purchases made as of January 1st, 2022

The following provisions apply to orders purchased as of January 1st, 2022.

 
2.1 Order cancellation

No order cancellation is possible.

 
2.2 Return and refund

No return or refund is possible.

 
2.3 Exchange

For all pre-Orders, it is possible to benefit from an exchange within 30 days following the date of purchase appearing on the invoice issued by Us. If 30 days have passed since the date of purchase on the invoice issued by Us, We will unfortunately not be able to proceed with Your exchange.

To be able to benefit from an exchange, Your Goods:

  • must be unused and in the same condition You received them;
  • must be packed in the original packaging with all accessories, labels and parts in their original box to avoid damage during the return shipment;
  • must have no visible signs of wear or use.

In addition, to make an exchange, You must present Us with a receipt or proof of purchase.

We reserve the right to refuse exchanges of any product that does not meet the above exchange conditions in Our sole discretion. We cannot be held responsible for Goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured and trackable mail service. Please do not return Your purchase to Us for exchange without first contacting Our customer service at info@powerlace.com.

Once We have received and inspected the returned Goods, We will send You an email to confirm that We have received it. We will also notify You of our decision to approve or reject Your exchange request.

If Your request is approved, You will be contacted by Our customer service with whom You will complete the exchange process. 

If Your request is refused, the Goods will be returned to You and You will be charged for any shipping costs unless You notify Us in advance that You do not wish to receive it, with no refund or compensation payable to You.

For any exchange with a higher value item, you will be charged the difference in price between the exchanged item and the new selected item and you will owe that amount, plus any applicable sales tax, before Powerlace ships the new selected item.

 

2.4 Warranty and repair

 

We offer a one (1) year limited Warranty on Our self-lacing system as well as a 3 month limited warranty on manufacturing defects, applicable to the original purchaser.

In order for the warranty to be valid, You must present Us with a receipt or proof of purchase.

We reserve the right to deny the request if the product does not meet any of the above warranty conditions in Our sole discretion. We cannot be held responsible for Goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured and trackable mail service. Please do not return Your purchase to Us for exchange without first contacting Our customer service at info@powerlace.com.

Once We have received and inspected the returned Goods, We will send You an email to confirm that We have received it. We will also notify You of our decision to approve or reject Your warranty request.

If Your request is approved, You will be contacted by Our customer service with whom You will complete the warranty process. 

If Your request is refused, the Goods will be returned to You and You will be charged for any shipping costs unless You notify Us in advance that You do not wish to receive it, with no refund or compensation payable to You.

In the event of a refund, Powerlace reserves the right to deduct from the refunded amount an administration and transaction fee equivalent to 5% of the refunded amount, minus applicable sales taxes.
