The beginnings
Frédérick Labbé founded Powerlace with a fierce ambition to create the world's first auto-lacing shoe activated by bodyweight. His years of relentless development and comprehensive testing paid off when his invention was granted an international patent in 2015. The project attracted fresh talent and the team is now more determined than ever to push boundaries, spark innovation and unleash the full potential of footwear technology.
